| Biography:
The recording artists, Apollonia Records feature only two performers on their debut release, “Long Walk Home EP”. They are : Chris Smith : Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Bass John Lumley : Guitars, Percussion, Hammond Organ Chris and John are childhood friends, traveling through County Durham’s schooling system together in the north-east of England. From the age of around 6 years old, the pair had always been involved in music in one form or another. They both started with the piano, then began playing brass instruments a couple of years later. Guitars and drums didn’t come into it for another 6 or 7 years. They played here and there, went to school, wasted time, etc until……  In December 2003, the pair relocated to Reading, Berkshire. Where they hired business manger, D. James Steer (a.k.a ‘The Suit’) and Apollonia Records Ltd was brought into the world. The “Long Walk Home EP” was finally released on March 21st 2005, recorded in the company’s ‘Worldofwires’ studio. Chris and John are currently recording an LP, due for release on ItsAboutMusic.com on July 4th 2005. As well as playing occasional live dates in and around the south of England. An EP from the band, “The Wheels” is also expected later in the summer, which will also feature the Apollonia pair, amongst others. Please visit the Apollonia Records web site  |
